What am I going to do now after spending the last couple of months training for, competing in, and recovering from the Spartan Beast? I’ve come back to earth after the post-experience high, so it’s time to set some new goals. Up first is another Warrior Dash in Tennessee next month. While this is a completely different type of obstacle race than the Beast, I’m looking forward to it because it is the first obstacle race that my wife is going to do. I can’t wait to see how she does. Also, I want to see if I can improve my time and standing than the first one. To do so means I’ve got to do some speed work, which is not competely intolerable.
After that, in October I’ll be taking both my wife and daughter to a Spartan Sprint outside of Chicago. This should be great fun and I can’t wait to see some friends who raced in the Beast with me. 2012 will probably consist of only Spartan Races for me. One goal is to comlete the Spartan Trifecta Challenge of completing a Sprint, Super, and Beast. The schedule is slowly being released and I’m examining all the options. In the meantime, it’s back to Spartan training. Details to follow.
